Did you know that cats kill 8 billion birds a year. Also small animals like meerkats!! In the stats at least 80 million homes have cats and them alone kill 2.4 billion birds and animals.

It is a blog from a year 5 class at Pakuranga Heights school
I like the blog because they have some cool poems on it. They also used  some thing called Thinglink which allows you to add cool little icons to images I thing we should try and do that next term. I think it will be fun.

Term 1 reflection

We are in Week 9 and we now have four more days until the end of term. I thought this was a good time to reflect on our term.

1. What did you enjoy most in the term? Why?
I enjoyed EOTC week most because we did lods of fun activities 

2. What did you enjoy doing most in the classroom? Why?
I enjoyed ITC skills most because we learn new skills 

3. What have you found hard in your learning this term? Explain.
I have found maths hard because we have to learn louds of diffrent skills at once 

4. What are you most pleased with in your learning? Why?
I am most pleased with writing because I am in the booster writing group

5. Tell us one thing you would like to learn about in Term 2.
When technology was first made and what the first ever car  in the world was and what it looked like 

EOTC story

On Wednesday day we did Yoth town



Before we started Miss Cooper did the roll then we got a quick drink and snack.



Then we went onto the grass and so did room 31. We got our groups ready and we meet the teachers. We fingered out that most of them are from a different country!!



Next we did the activities first we did the flint stone car (the first ever car made). Then we did problem solving after that we had morning tea. Next we did walkie talkie after that we did ti pe building (my team made the biggest) then we had lunch. After lunch we did archery it was fun we had a compaction boys v girls the boys won.



Once we did all the fun activates we sat in our groups on the field and we thanked them for giving up there time to be with us and letting us have a fun time. then they thanked us for being a good group

We could finally relax because it was home time!!!! Time to relax from a tiring day!!!!!!!!  

Something special

My dog Gizmo is special to me because she loves me. She is good company and she likes to lie on my bed and lap which keeps me warm. She is easy to train and we love taking her to the school field so she can run around and follow our commands (rewarded with treats). She is a great pet to have around!

NEWS ARTICLE Smart Labrador Hops On City Bus Solo, To Visit Dog Park

Hi guys,
 I just read this article and I have to shear it with you!!

This labrador can hop on the city bus solo. It was never supposed to do it because its owner would normally stop for something before they got on the bus to go to the park. But one day his owner was taking longer than usual so the dog got on the bus and it knew when to get off, it is so cool. I wish I had a dog like that. But I am fine with my dog!!!!
